Filter by Format is a simple tool allowing you to filter data within a spreadsheet based on the formatting of cells. It is both a spreadsheet productivity enhancer and a data analysis tool, useful for anyone working in Microsoft Excel where a variety of different formatting criteria is used to define and classify the data.
Filter by Format allows you to display or not display data which meets your pre-defined formatting criteria based on the selection of an example cell. It can filter by both rows and columns, hiding the row/column of cells which do or don’t meet the desired format. Filter on cell colour, font colour, font type, font size, bold and italics or a combination of these formatting criteria.
